Another release on May 21st with new mechanics and $8000 of rewards !

Conquest

As we briefly mentioned a new instance of Conquest.eth is coming but we decided to postpone the launch date to May 21st to give us more time to prepare for it.

And we are excited to introduce with it, new mechanics and features!

We partnered with Fusionist for this upcoming release and the game will run on their Endurance network.

A recap from last release

As you might know, we released an instance of Conquest on Gnosis network back in February, the 2025.1 edition. For that previous version, we kept the same mechanics of the original conquest with the exception of the instant exit at the end of the reward session. It was great!

  • We witnessed intense battles, especially between the 2 top players
  • We launched a fully autonomous agent that got used by various players based on its incentive mechanics alone. No server!
  • We tested our tool FUZD and it worked great!

In this upcoming release, we are going to introduce new features and mechanics. These have been designed with our v2 in mind but we are excited to see how they work in the current version.

Our goal is again, to gather feedback and learn from our players. We can't wait to share more on the v2 by the way 😃

Fusionist / Endurance

The team behind Fusionist with whom we partnered has their own EVM L1: Endurance. And that's where we will launch Conquest this time.

They have a very active community and we are looking forward to working with them. They are also working on a space-theme game by the way. if you want to know more check them out: https://fusionist.io/

In order to make it easy for players to get all they need to play on their network, we will be introducing an entry pass system available on the Base network. Each pass will cost some $ (around 5-10$) and will give you enough ACE token needed to operate on Endurance (the token is not easily available in all countries). This will also act as an anti-sybil mechanism needed for this version of the game. More on that below.

What are the new features ?

in-game chat!

While we continue to work on our old conquest codebase, we are working toward a v2 and something we have been building on is an in-game real-time chat system. We wanted that for a very long time and happy to have it for that new release. This also include faction-specific chat too!

This will allow players to communicate without leaving the game, making the experience more fun and might even help planning for universe domination!

Factions!

The biggest and most game-changing features we are introducing though is the Faction system. This is something we have designed for our v2 for several reasons but mainly to make it easier for new player to join the game without the fear of being destroyed right away. You don't start alone anymore!

In this system, there will be a fixed number of pre-established factions that player will need to choose. Upon joining the faction, the player will be given token to stake on planets for that faction.

Factions members cannot attack each other and cannot send friendly spaceships to other factions. Think of it like pre-established alliances. Player of the same factions are then pushed to work together to ensure their faction victory.

And to ensure interesting balance of power, we are also introducing a system where less successful faction get more token to stake, encouraging new players to join these instead.

A New Staking Token Model

As mentioned earlier, to ensure player get all they need to play on the Endurance network, we will be introducing an Entry Pass to be purchased on the Base network.

This entry pass will give player enough ACE token (Endurance native token) to play the game. The entry pass also serves as sybil protection as without it, player won't be able to join any faction necessary to play the game.

So instead of staking real $ for each planet they want to acquire, players will instead be paying a single entry pass which will give them access to factions. Upon joining a faction, player will then be given "staking tokens" over time that they can then use like in previous Conquest instances.

And to balance factions power, the less a faction has in-game stake, the more it will get further stake token to be distributed to its members. So new players will be incentivized to join these faction as they get a better chance at establishing their empire in that faction compared to the more powerful ones. We hope this make the game more interesting while keeping a sense of fairness.

Rewards

While in previous Conquest version, reward where always given to individual players based on their success compared to other players, in this new version, the rewards will also reward overall Faction success.

So player will need to ensure their faction lead, but they will also be rewarded individually based on their share of the faction victory

And we will have $8,000 of reward this time!

What else ?

As mentioned, we are working toward a v2 and can't wait to have a prototype. This is a full rewrite of conquest with the learning from the past 5 years. In particular we are introducing the idea explored with Stratagems of daily commit+reveal scheme. This will allow player to play at their own pace and be assured they can't be attacked in the middle of the night.

In other words, we want to make our games more human friendly.

We are also revamping the UI and style. We don't have a timeline yet for our first play test, but stay tuned!
